cbd processing

All House of Oilworx products come from high quality, organic crops grown in the United States. The raw hemp progresses through a rigorous series of steps to provide you with the best broad-spectrum CBD products on the market. Check out our process below!

Our products start out as natural proprietary strains of phytocannabinoid-rich (PCR) hemp. All hemp grown on our farm in Colorado is nurtured in nutrient-rich soil that adheres to strict 100% organic guidelines. Our farming processes are state-of-the-art and highly regulated to enhance the strains of hemp plants and make our CBD products safe and of the highest quality.

Harvesting Process

Our plants are harvested by hand, dried, and warehoused with care. They are then milled into a powder and shipped to a processing plant while staying within the confines of Colorado.

Extraction & Purification

House of Oilworx uses a proprietary hemp extraction and purification process that involves supercritical CO2, ensuring that many of the hemp plant’s beneficial phytocannabinoids, terpenoids, and flavonoids are preserved. This process also gets rid of unwanted compounds while preventing natural molecules from degrading, resulting in the highest quality broad-spectrum hemp oil. After the extraction, the oil is pressed to separate most of the oil from the plant solids.

Each drop of our PCR hemp oil contains 112 cannabinoids, including CBD, CBDA, CBG, CBN, CBC, and THCA. It also retains a variety of naturally occurring terpenes and flavonoids. This allows House of Oilworx to present you with a broad spectrum of the beneficial compounds contained within our plants. While CBD on its own offers many health benefits, full-spectrum oil creates an Entourage Effect that leads to a multitude of benefits. All of the components work together to magnify each individual’s therapeutic benefits.

The next step of the process is to distill the oil to separate the hemp extract from the Supercritical CO2 used in the extraction process.  In fact, we are one of the few facilities in the world that use this food grade ethanol.  Once this complete, the CO2 is recycled and used again in the distilation process.

One of the most important steps in the process is to remove even the most minute traces of THC. THC is the compound found in hemp and cannabis that produces the “high” associated with the plant. This means that House of Oilworx products are ideal for consumers who do not want to experience the psychoactive effects of THC with their treatment.

Our proprietary technology removes other unwanted compounds still present in the oil as well. These compounds include wax, chlorophyll, and plant pigments, along with the trace amounts of THC. The product is finally “washed” and “polished” to create the highest quality, zero-THC, broad-spectrum CBD oil available.

Lab Testing

Every production run is tested for quality and potency to make sure all of the cannabinoids, terpenes, essential fatty acids, and phytonutrients are consistent and pure. Every batch goes through rigorous testing in our in-house laboratory testing to include microbial (E. coli, yeast, mold) potency, heavy metals (lead, arsenic, mercury and cadmium) and a total of 60 different pesticides.  When the batch passes, it receives a Certificate of Analysis and a Certificate of Quality Assurance that we make available to our customers. We also use third-party labs on each batch to verify and confirm our certification results.

Nanoemulsion Technology

Some of our products require the oil to go through an extra processing step. The raw hemp oil goes through a proprietary process that transforms it into nano-sized emulsions. An emulsion is created when a substance is turned into tiny droplets and dispersed into a liquid that won't dissolve it. Imagine breaking up a drop of olive oil into individual molecules and spreading it throughout a cup of water. The oil would no longer gather together on the top of the water, but rather would float evenly within it.

By making our CBD oil into an emulsion, it makes it the most bioavailable broad-spectrum CBD in the industry. Our competitor’s hemp oil particles are anywhere between 150 and 5000 nanometers in size. Our particles are 25-60. This small size is what gives them better bioavailability, leading to a much more effective absorption rate. In fact, the nanoemulsion process makes our formulas five times more bioavailable than regular oil-based products and four times more bioavailable than other water-soluble hemp-based oils.

From the high quality soil we use to grow our hemp to the unique nanoemulsion technology that increases its bioavailability, our process creates the highest quality broad-spectrum CBD oil on the market, and we are proud to share it with you!
